    We all have bad days.

    It can be some specific thing that puts you into a bad mood or it can be life stress wondering about where your life is going etc.

    Usually when we're having a bad day we find it hard to shake the bad mood we're in and we usually want to be alone and sleep.

    These are the things that help me get out of a bad mood and help me feel better!

    These are my real life hacks to feeling better, feeling more confident and less stressed! Hopefully this tips will help deal with anxiety about your life / circumstances and help you feel less stressed.

    HOW TO GET OVER A BAD DAY:
    10 WAYS TO GET OVER A BAD DAY:

    1.

    GET FOOD WITH PEOPLE
    This tip sounds like I'm technically advocating eating your feelings, but that's only because I'm technically advocating eating your feelings.

    Going out for meals with people is one of my all time favorite things.

    Food.

    Coffee.

    Brunch.

    Any of it.

    I'm instantly in a better mood when I'm with a friend and some good food.

    SET GOALS
    Usually something that puts us in a bad mood sets us off thinking about where our lives are and why we're unhappy.

    We can start to focus on everything we haven't accomplished and feel like we'll never get there / we're failures.

    I like to set goals: monthly, daily and weekly goals.

    This helps me focus on each day instead and not worry about how my life looks in comparison to what I felt like it should look like.

    You'll find that your goals are much more achievable when you break them down into daily tasks instead of looking at them on the whole.

    Ask yourself: What is my goal? What are steps I can be doing daily to get there? And start there!

    3.

    CLEAN + ORGANIZE
    You are literally making room for new things in your life when you declutter and clean out your space! A messy space can already cause you stress and anxiety.

    Deal with the anxiety and feel more peaceful by keeping your space organized! I also like the physical act of cleaning when I am frustrated because it makes me focus on something else and I'm doing something productive!

    4.

    AT HOME SPA NIGHTS
    One of my favorite things to do after a long and stressful day is take a long bath, light a candle and put on a face mask.

    It's really taking time out of your day to just relax and feel better!

    TALK TO A CLOSE FRIEND
    Nothing makes me feel better than actually talking to someone I'm really close with.

    Talk to someone who loves you and has your best interests at heart.

    Be open and vulnerable with them and really be honest about where you're at.

    People who love you can speak truth into your life and help you to realize what you can do to feel better about your current situation.



    6.

    HAVE A HOBBY
    Have an activity you can do that is purely for your enjoyment and not tied to your work.

    Whether it's cooking, reading, etc- find something that is enjoyable for you! I also feel better knowing that even if I'm not feeling so great, I am doing something that is actively bettering me and making me a more well rounded person!

    7.

    EXERCISE
    Find a workout that works for you! I'm by no means an athletic person and I definitely don't enjoy MOST physical activity.

    But I've found certain work out classes that I can do even though they are still challenging! I leave the class thinking 'if I can get through THAT, I can get through ANYTHING!'

    8.

    GO ON A TRIP
    Go on a day trip, go somewhere new that you've always wanted to try, or just even get in the car and drive around and listen to music!

    9.

    GET OUTSIDE
    We usually just want to sleep or be alone when we're sad, but you need to get out of your house.

    Get outside of that space and that negativity! Sometimes even just getting fresh air can help you refocus and remember that your problem is not as big as it feels.

    10.

    PUT IT INTO PERSPECTIVE
    I like to read my bible and pray when I'm going through a rough day.

    This really reminds me that God is in control and even though my problems might feel big to me, they aren't to Him.
